#10 - My First Client

I worked with my first client today. I'm trying to muster up the remaining energy molecules I have left for today to write this post. I feel pretty poopy today.

I thought it went okay. I knew what I needed to do to resolve the issue but we kept hitting roadblocks. I learned that Google's MFA is a bitch when you're trying to log into somebody else's account and that I should have a proper set-up for video calling.

My client said that I should think about raising my hourly rate to perhaps £25p/h. £25 per hour! That figure is conceivable to me; am I actually worth that much? I'm just getting started, shouldn't I be charging less? By less I mean National Living Wage. I have no idea. Getting to do what I love is priceless enough.

I also learned how to create an invoice today, as well as how to keep a cashbook on a spreadsheet. Actually, I'm not sure if I'm doing the bookkeeping properly. I guess we'll find out in the bookkeeping workshop I booked myself onto next week.
